The Battlefords

Jump to: navigation, search

The Battlefords are two small municipalities (North Battleford and Battleford) along Highway 17 between Saskatoon and Edmonton, in west-central Saskatchewan, Canada. They are seperated by the North Saskatchewan River.

North Battleford is the larger of the two with many still yet to be explored dumpster diving prospects.

Battleford is a much smaller town located on the south side of the river. At the corner of 1st ave and 22nd street is Super A, a medium sized supermarket. On the southside of their building in the parking lot is an inviting red dumpster with convenient latches to hold the steel doors open once they have been lifted up. Local divers dive here regularly for bread, produce, and other baked goods. (Last checked: December 2010)
