Switzerland is a wealthy country which can offer some good possibilities for freegan opportunities.
Most notably, the Denner supermarkets tend to have accessible dumpsters, whilst others like Coop or Migros sometimes but not always keep them locked inside and send them away with the delivery trucks. Sometimes you can find the delivery truck or a cargo container unlocked and parked near the market. This happens in many cantons but not in all. Just check. The Geneva area for example seems to have more to offer for successfull dumpster diving in a sense of wider range of supermarkets available for diving, than some other areas in Switzerland. The dumpsters of gas stations are accessible almost everywhere.
Dumpster diving is illegal in Switzerland but as long as you don't make a mess it's quite unlikely to get arrested for it.
