The German municipality of Olching is situated on the outskirts of Munich approx. 20 km west of Munich's city center.

4 supermarkets can be found within the area around the local train station, a Tengelmann, a REWE, a Norma and an organic food shop.

The most recommendable location for dumpster diving is the Tengelmann Schwaigfeld Center in Feuersstrasse 56 approx. one kilometer north of the train station. The dumpsters can be seen from the main road and are easily to be found. They are "secured" by a motion detector that switches on the light, but no one ever cared for dumpster divers. If at all, the light makes looking through the trash easier.
