Cassis is a small town on the French Cote d'Azur, about 20 km east of Marseille. It's near the famous Calanques de Cassis which are an amazing place to go and see, hike, swim around.

Dumpster diving

Supermarkets in this small town don't have accessible trash, which sucks for dumpster diving, however you can easily find food if the weather is nice and the tourists are around. Just walk around the beach and the small streets around the center that have sandwich shops and cafes. Check out the small bins everywhere. Often you will find sandwiches or pizza that have only a few bites taken from them. Drinks too, such as fizzy drinks and slushies. Don't worry about cleanliness, the sandwiches are in paper bags so it's pretty clean.

Free Wifi

  • 7-11 Avenue Jules Ferry - There is an Apple network here without a password. West side of the road, on the steps leading to the building entrance.
