Albert Heijn is a supermarket chain in the Netherlands. Albert Heijn supermarkets often have free samples in their shops, from cheese to cupcakes to ice cream.

Their delivery trucks also pick up unsellable products and produce. Not sure what happens with it after that (and before that? compactors?). It is possible to dive in those bins, but only when you know the eaxact times the bins are out and waiting to be picked up. Stuff such as bread, cookies, doughnuts and other things of this type have been found in Albert Heijn dumpsters.

The grey bins of the supermarket-chain can at times be found at locations that are accessible. In the bins you mostly find general rubbish but also stuff that is worthwile such as canned food and other produce. You will find a lot of flowers in these bins too.
