Helsinki
From Trashwiki
Helsinki, a capital city in Finland, offers some opportunities for freegan-oriented folks.
- "Siwa" store at Franzeninkatu: go there soon after closing time at 11pm, enter the back yard (through Agricolankuja), and you might find for example fruits, yoghurt and lots of expired but still good packaged produce. Finnish winters should keep even dairy and meat fresh for a little bit. Nearby residents of this central but studenty and bohemian neighbourhood are also well aware of this spot so you might have some competition.
